Chapter 63.
AN ACT to amend and enlarge the powers conferred
by the act entitled " An act to incorporate The
Woodstock College of Baltimore county," passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven,
chapter three hundred and sixty-nine.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, for the purpose of promoting, encour-
aging and fostering education and instruction in scien-
tific, mechanical and literary pursuits now being car-
ried on in The Woodstock College of Baltimore
county, therefore —
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That The Woodstock College of Balti-
more county shall, in addition to the powers granted
and conferred upon said body corporate by the act to

hold real prop-
erty.

which this is a supplement, be capable in law to take,
receive and hold by purchase, sale, gift, lease, devise,
bequest or legacy, any real or personal property, and
the same to alien, sell and transfer at pleasure; pro-
vided it shall not at any one time hold or possess
property yielding a greater net income than thirty
thousand dollars per annum.

Right to alter
or repeal.
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the legislature reserves
the right to alter, amend or repeal this act, or any part
thereof, at pleasure.

|
Effective.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
