like that is to be dealt with at any time and at the

end of his term he probably would be returned to office

anyway, so 1 cannot see that the terra would make much

THE CHAIRMAN: Plus the fact it would seem

to me that the short terms on trial court level would

tend to make the judges less independent, in knowing

that they live in more of a goldfish bowl than the

appellate courts.

tenure by non-competitive election, again, I do not

think it makes so much difference. I really feel, with
