not exceeding one hundred thousand ($100, 000. 00) dol-
lars in any one year for the purchase of food for indigent
persons, and authorizing the Commissioners to levy an-
nually for the repayment of any such money borrowed.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That one new and additional section be and it is
hereby added to Offutt's Revised Code of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County, Edition of 1929, title No. 13,
"County Commissioners, " (Flack's Code, 1930, Article 3),
to follow immediately after Section 130C of said Code and
to be known as Section 130D, to read as follows:
Section 130D. Upon the unanimous written request and
recommendation of the Trustees of the Poor appointed by
the Board of County Commissioners of Baltimore County,
and not otherwise, said Board of County Commissioners
are hereby authorized (if in their discretion and judgment
it shall appear necessary) to borrow on the credit of Balti-
more County, such sum, not to exceed one hundred thousand
($100, 000. 00) dollars in any one year, as may be required
for expenditure in the direct relief of unemployed, desti-
tute and indigent residents of said County, such sum to be
used in the purchase of foodstuffs and for no other purpose
or purposes whatsoever. And the said Board of County
Commissioners are hereby authorized to levy annually on
the assessable property of said County, over such period
as in their judgment may seem expedient and proper, such
taxes as are needed to repay funds borrowed hereunder.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on and after the first day of June, 1933.

CHAPTER 404.
AN ACT to add ten new sections to Article 97 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Weights and Measures, " to be under sub-title "Canta-
loupes, " said new sections to be known as Sections 46A
to 46J, inclusive, and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 46 of said Article, establishing standard grades for
cantaloupes when packed in closed containers and pre-
scribing certain markings for said containers.
