for any license or licenses issued as aforesaid shall be
promptly accounted for and paid over by him to the County
Treasurer for the general expenses of said County. Any
person, firm, association or corporation who violates the
provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and, upon conviction before any Justice of the
Peace of said County, shall be subject to a fine of not less
than Five Dollars ($5. 00) nor more than Twenty-five Dol-
lars ($25. 00) for each such violation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 396.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
26 of Article 33 of the Public General Laws of Maryland,
Bagby's Annotated Code (Edition of 1924), title "Elec-
tions, " so as to render the provisions of that section in
reference to the printing and posting of copies of the
alphabetical list of registered voters and the names
erased from the books of registry inapplicable to Balti-
more County as well as Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 26 of Article 33 of the Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, Bagby's Annotated Code (Edition
of 1924), title "Elections, " be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as
follows:

Section 26. At the end of the last session above pro-
vided for, the said Board of Registry shall compare and
correct the two registers and make them agree, and the
officers having them respectively in their custody shall then
immediately under the last name registered under each
letter of the registers sign their names, so that no other
names can be added without discovery; all of said officers
of registration shall then subscribe, at the end of each reg-
ister, a certificate, in substance, in the words following:
