or without said county, as their duties may require.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 337.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
281 of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County, " sub-
title "Sheriff, " reducing the cost of boarding and keeping
prisoners in Calvert County, and also reducing the
amount allowed for conveying prisoners out of said
county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 281 of Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cal-
vert County, " sub-title "Sheriff, " be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as
follows:
281. The Sheriff of Calvert County shall receive a sum
of money not to exceed sixty cents a day for keeping
and boarding each prisoner in the county jail and
shall also receive a sum of money not to exceed twenty-
five dollars, for conveying to the State Penitentiary
or to any other place of punishment situated beyond the
limits of said county, every person sentenced thereto by
the Circuit Court for Calvert County, or by any justice of
the peace for said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.
