CHAPTER 25.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 21 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Talbot County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 69A and 69B and
to follow immediately after Section 69 of said Article,
authorizing and empowering the County Commissioners
of Talbot County to borrow not to exceed Two Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($200, 000) in any one year for the
current expenses of the County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That two new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-title
"County 'Commissioners, " said new sections to be known
as Sections 69A and 69B, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion, 69 of said Article, and to read as follows:

69A. Whenever the amount of taxes collected in Tal-
bot County shall be insufficient to meet the current ex-
penses of the County, the County Commissioners of said
County are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow
on the faith and credit of Talbot County to meet the cur-
rent expenses of said County, a sum or sums of money not
to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200, 000), and
to issue for said indebtedness the note or notes of the
County Commissioners of Talbot County, said note or notes
to be signed by the President of the County Commission-
ers of Talbot County, and countersigned by the Clerk of
the County Commissioners of Talbot County, and to bear
interest from the date of their issuance at a rate not ex-
ceeding six per centum per annum; provided, however, that
not more than Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200, 000)
of said note or notes shall be outstanding at any one time.

69B. In order to pay the said note or notes which may
be issued from time to time hereunder, together with the
interest thereon, the County Commissioners of Talbot
County are hereby authorized and directed to pay the same
out of the taxes collected in said County in the year in
which said note or notes may, from time to time, be issued
and/or fall due, and if the taxes so collected as aforesaid
shall be insufficient for the purpose, the said County Com-
missioners of Talbot County are hereby authorized and
directed to levy upon all the assessable property in said
