removed by the board of directors. The directors of a bank
for the time being shall give three weeks' public notice in
at least two daily newspapers published in the City of
Baltimore, if the corporation be located in the City of Balti-
more, or in at least one or more newspapers published in
the county if there be two newspapers published in the
county where the corporation may be located, if not located
in the said city of the annual meeting of the stockholders.
Nothing contained in this section shall be construed to
affect the term of office of any director heretofore elected.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 273.

AN ACT to suspend the operation and functions of the
Board of Assessment as set out in Section 221 of Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, en-
titled "Montgomery County, " and validating and con-
firming the assessments as they stand upon the books of
the County Commissioners, and providing for assess-
ments for improvements and personal property, includ-
ing securities, until April 1, 1935.

SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the duties, functions and operations of the
Board of Assessment provided for by Section 221 of Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled
"Montgomery County, " as amended by Chapter 91 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland for 1931, are
hereby suspended until April 1, 1935 and all assessments
made by said Board, other than original assessments for
improvements or additions to real estate or acquisition of
personal property or securities not on the assessment dock-
ets of the County Commissioners of Montgomery County,
are hereby cancelled and made of no effect.

SEC. 2. The assessment of all property assessed for
County tax purposes as they actually are of record upon
the assessment records of the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County as of the effective date of
