CHAPTER 249.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
437 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, " sub-title
"Schools, " sub-heading "Teachers—Salaries, " providing
for a reduction in the salaries of certain teachers in

Cecil County for a period of two years.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 437 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County, " sub-title "Schools, " sub-heading "Teachers—
Salaries, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:

437. The County Commissioners of Cecil County are
hereby directed to include in the levy for the year 1922
and every year thereafter, a sufficient amount to provide
for the salaries of the school teachers as hereinbefore pre-
scribed. Provided, however, that the salaries, of school
teachers as provided for in Sections 435 and 436 of this
Article for the school years 1933-1934 and 1934-1935, shall
be reduced by the following percentage:

Teachers/receiving under $1200. 00, ten per cent
Teachers receiving $1200 to $1799, eleven per cent
