CHAPTER 161.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to levy the sum of Fourteen
Thousand Dollars ($14, 000) upon the taxable property
in Montgomery County as part of the annual levy in the
year 1933, and to pay the said sum to R. G. Rankin &
Company, auditors.

SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County Commissioners of
Montgomery County be and it is hereby authorized and
empowered to make a levy upon the taxable property in
Montgomery County as part of the annual levy in the year
1933 the sum of Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14, 000. 00),
and to pay the said sum so levied to R. G. Rankin & Com-
pany, Certified Public Accountants, as the remainder of the
compensation due R. G. Rankin & Company for its services
in making a general audit of the books of Montgomery
County for a period of approximately fifteen years, which
said audit was completed in the year 1932.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 162.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to issue bonds of the County for
the purpose of refunding bonds of the County, now out-
standing and maturing before June 30, 1935, and of re-
imbursing to the funds of the County the amounts of
deficiencies therein arising from tax abatements and in-
solvencies, and to provide for the payment of such re-
