SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on and after the first day of June, 1933.

CHAPTER 61.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
129 and 130 of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore
County (as enacted by Chapter 313, Acts 1920), codified
in Offutt's Revised Code of the Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County, edition of 1929, title No. 13, "County
Commissioners, " (Flack's Code 1930, Article 3, Sections
129 and 130), so as to provide for contribution to certain
charitable organizations by the Commissioners and to
increase the levy from one-half to one and one-half cents
on the hundred dollars on assessable county property.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 129 and 130 of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County (as enacted by Chapter 313,
Acts 1920), codified in Offutt's Revised Code of the Public
Local Laws of Baltimore County, edition of 1929, title No.
13, "County Commissioners, " (Flack's Code 1930, Article 3,
Sections 129 and 130), be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:

Section 129. That the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County be and they are hereby authorized to con-
tribute to the maintenance and support of women having
dependent minor children without adequate means of sup-
port, and further, also to contribute for the purposes of
charity, and no other purpose, to such charitable organiza-
tions having headquarters in Baltimore County, as the said
County Commissioners in their discretion may in either
case deem proper.

Section 130. That the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County be and they are hereby authorized to levy a
tax not to exceed one and one-half cents on the hundred
dollars on the assessable property of Baltimore County
for the purpose of securing funds to effect the purposes
of this Act.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on and after the first day of June, 1933.
