dred and twenty-nine, payable on demand, note for eight
hundred seventy-five dollars, dated August eleventh, nine-
teen hundred and twenty-nine, payable on demand, note
for two thousand, three hundred fifty dollars, dated Sep-
tember twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and twenty-nine,
payable on demand.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That before the
President and Commissioners of Princess Anne shall issue
or sell any of the aforesaid bonds they shall first submit
to the qualified voters of Princess Anne at a special elec-
tion to be held on the sixth day of June, nineteen
hundred and thirty-three, the question as to whether said
bonds shall be issued and sold, and the said qualified voters
of said town of Princess Anne shall determine at said elec-
tion by ballot, whether said bonds or any of them shall be
issued as aforesaid, and the said President and Commis-
sioners of Princess Anne shall prepare ballots for said
election, having printed thereon the words "For re-funding
bond issue" and "Against refunding bond issue, " with a
square after said words in each case so that the voter may
determine by a cross mark in one of said squares whether
he wishes to vote for or against said proposed bond issue;
and the said President and Commissioners of Princess
Anne shall give at least two weeks notice by publication in
one or more newspapers published in said town of Prin-
cess Anne, of the time and place where said vote will be
taken and the purpose of said ballotting, and if a majority
of the votes cast at said election be in favor of said bond
issue then this Act and the provisions thereof shall become
effective on the first day of June, nineteen hundred and
thirty-three; and if a majority of said votes be against
said bond issue then this Act shall be null and ineffective.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
