ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR. 1103

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1929 and 1930 Editions), title "Baltimore County, " sub-
title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 392A, to follow immediately
after Section 392 of said Article, and to read as follows:

392A. From among the Justices of the Peace provided
for in Section 392 for the First or the Second or the Thir-
teenth Election Districts, the Governor shall designate one
to be known as Justice of the Peace at Large No. 1; from
among the Justices of the Peace provided for in Section
392 for the Third or the Eighth or the Ninth Election Dis-
tricts the Governor shall also designate one to be known as
Justice of the Peace at Large No. 2; and from among the
Justices of the Peace provided for in Section 392 for the
Twelfth or the Fourteenth or the Fifteenth Election Dis-
tricts the Governor shall also designate one to be known
as Justice of the Peace at Large No. 3; to the end that
there may be designated three Justices of the Peace at
Large for Baltimore County, to be selected from among,
but not in addition to the Justices of the Peace provided
for in Section 392. The said Justices of the Peace at
Large shall be qualified, in addition to their usual powers
as such Justices, to sit at any of the Station Houses in
said county when the Justice of the Peace who is regularly
assigned to any Station House may be absent, incapacitated
or disqualified from serving in any particular case or cases,
and said Justices of the Peace at Large shall so serve at
said Station House only upon notice from the Station House
Justice who may be incapacitated, absent or otherwise dis-
qualified from serving, who shall in such case or cases re-
quest the Justice at Large from the nearest district to serve
for him during such incapacity, absence or disqualification.
When said Justices of the Peace at Large are required as
above provided to sit at any Station House in the place
and stead of the Justice of the Peace who is regularly as-
signed thereto, he shall receive as compensation for said
services the sum of five dollars ($5. 00) per day, which
shall be paid him by the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County, upon approval by the State's Attorney.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said Sections
393, 394, 396, 403, 405 and 407 of said Article 3, be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
to read as follows:
