County, " sub-title "Installation of Electrical Apparatus
and Wiring, " as said sections were enacted by Chapter
344 of the Acts of 1931, and to add a new section to said
Article, said new section to be known as Section 268R
and to follow immediately after Section 268Q, relating to
the licensing of all electricians doing electrical work in
Anne Arundel County and imposing certain conditions
for the furnishing of electricity for any premises.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 268E and 268F of Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition),
title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Installation of
Electrical Apparatus and Wiring, " as said sections were
enacted by Chapter 344 of the Acts of 1931 be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, and to
add a new section to said Article, said new section to be
known as Section 268R, to follow immediately after Section
268Q, and all to read as follows:

268E. The term Master Electrician, as used in this Act,
shall be defined as and including any and all persons, firms
and corporations engaged in business of, or holding them-
selves out to the public as engaged in the business of in-
stalling, erecting or repairing, or contracting to install,
erect or repair electric wires or conductors, to be used for
the transmission of electric current for electric light, heat,
or power purposes, or mouldings, ducts, raceways or con-
duits for the reception or protection of such wires or con-
ductors, or to any electrical machinery, apparatus, devices
or fixtures to be used for electric light, heat or power pur-
poses. A license of "Master Electrician" issued and in
accordance with the provisions of this Act, shall entitle any
such person, firm or corporation so licensed to engage in
the business of and to hold himself or itself out to the
public as engaged in the business of installing, erecting
and repairing and of contracting to install, erect and re-
pair any electric wires or conductors, etc.

268F. Before any person, firm or corporation shall
hereafter engage in the business of a Master Electrician
in Anne Arundel County, as defined in this Act, and before
any person, firm or corporation now engaged in said busi-
ness or any class thereof, shall continue in said business
of Master Electrician, such person, firm or corporation
shall apply to said board for a license, as herein required,
whereupon the Applicant shall present himself before the
