ditional powers and privileges which may at any
time be conferred upon the said Company, either
by amendment of this Act, or by any other Act
hereafter to be passed.

Banking pri-
vileges pro-
hibited.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing herein
contained shall be so construed as to confer bank-
ing privileges in said Company, to issue any note
or other evidence of debt, to be used as currency.
|
Witness.
|
Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That in any suit by
or against the Company, no stockholder as such,
shall be incompetent as a witness unless he be oth-
erwise a party to the suit.
|
To take ef-
fect.
|
Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and con-
tinue in force until the year eighteen hundred and
ninety-six, and until the ond of the next session
of the General Assembly, which shall take place
|

thereafter; and that the General Assembly reserves
to itself the right to repeal or annul this Act of
incorporation at its pleasure.

AN ACT to authorize the Governor of the State,
and the Comptroller and Treasurer to convey to
the United States of America, the Government
House and Grounds belonging to this State,
in the City of Annapolis, and to procure other
site and buildings in lieu thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor, Comptroller and
Treasurer, of this State, be and they are hereby
authorized to convey to the United State of America,
as an addition to the site of the Naval School at
Annapolis, by deed duly executed, acknowledged
and recorded, on such terms and for such consider-
