nal Company, at a meeting to be called for the
purpose of taking this act into consideration, which
acceptance shall he certified to, by the Governor of
this State, under the corporate seal of the said
company.

AN ACT further to amend the charter of the
Firemen's Insurance Company, of Baltimore.
|

WHEREAS, The city of Baltimore has establish-
ed a paid Steam Fire Department, and the volun-
teer Fire Department are about to disband, it be-
comes necessary to amend the charter of the above
named Company to meet the changes consequent
thereon, and to provide for the election of Direc-
tors in said Company from the stockholders at
large therein, and also to provide other regulations
for the management of said corporation, and for
the transfer of its stock and ownership thereof,
therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section eight of the Act passed
at December session, A. D. eighteen hundred and
twenty-five, chapter fifty-five, entitled, an "Act
to incorporate the President and Directors of the
Firemen's Insurance Company of Baltimore, "
which limits the holding of stock to members of a
fire company, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Section 8

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That section nine of
said original Act, regulating the transfer of stock
in said Company, and requiring that transfers of
the same shall only be made to members of a fire
company, be and the same is hereby also absolutely
repealed.
