said company to avail themselves of the privileges
of this act until at least one hundred thousand dol-
lars of the capital stock shall have been subscribed,
and fifty thousand dollars paid in, and fifty thou-
sand dollars subscribed on every additional hun-
dred thousand dollars, and twenty-five thousand
dollars paid in.

 

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 18.

 

AN ACT to incorporate Annapolis Lodge, No. 89,
of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William L. W. Seabrook, Wor-
shipful Master, Grafton Munroe, Senior Warden,
Joseph M. Marshall, Junior Warden, R. Vinton
Clayton, Secretary, and George M. Taylor, Trea-
surer, and the other officers and members of An-
napolis Lodge, No. 89, of Ancient Free and Ac-
cepted Masons, located in the city of Annapolis,
and their successors, be and they are hereby declar-
ed to be a community, corporation and body poli-
tic, by the name, style and title of Annapolis Lodge,
No. 89, of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, and
by that name they and their successors shall have
perpetual succession, and shall and may at all
times hereafter, be capable in law to have, pur-
chase, receive, possess, enjoy and retain to them
and their successors, lands, tenements, rents, an-
nuities, bank and other stocks, pensions and other
hereditaments, in fee simple, or lor terms of years,
life, lives or otherwise, and also goods, chattels or
effects of what nature, quality or kind soever, by
gift, bargain, sale, devise or bequest of any person
or persons, bodies corporate or politic capable of
making the same, and the same or any part there-
of at their pleasure to grant, alien, lease, transfer
or dispose of, in such manner as they judge most
