Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That the General As-
sembly reserves to itself the right to alter, amend
or repeal this act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 143.

 

AN ACT to empower the County Commissioners
of Queen Anne's County to levy the sum of two
hundred and fifty dollars on the taxable property
of the County, to pay J. G. Strong for copies of
a map of said County which he is about to pub-
lish, on the scale of one inch to the mile, and
which said copies are intended to be distributed
among the Public Schools of the County.

19, 1866.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Queen Anne's county be, and they are hereby em-
powered to levy the sum of two hundred and fifty
dollars on the taxable property of said county, to
pay J. G. Strong for one hundred copies of his
map he is about to publish in this county, on the
scale of one inch to the mile.

Power to
levy.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be dis-
cretionary with said Commissioners to reject said
map if not gotten up and published in manner and
style as set forth in his, said Strong's, programme.

Discretionary
to reject.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
