AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay J.
H. Emmerson, R. K. Wimbaugh, R. P. Bayly,
J. T. Hand, Haverstick and Longneckers, Carl-
ton Rhoderick, E. Wells, William H. Councell,
C. Fulton & Son, B. Everett Smith, James S.
Downs, Plummer & Usilton, Thomas S. Hodson,
Thomas E. Ogden, William Wales & Co., E.
E. Ewing, George W. Wilson, R. E. Bouldin,
for publishing the Laws of Session eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-five.

Authority to
issue warrant.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller he, and he is
hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the
Treasurer for seven hundred and forty-six dollars
to pay J. H. Emmerson, for publishing the Laws of
session eighteen hundred and sixty-five; eight hun-
dred and eighty-five dollars to R. K. Wimbaugh
for publishing the Laws of session eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-five; three hundred and ninety-
nine dollars and fifty cents to R. P. Bayly, for
publishing the Laws of session eighteen hundred
and sixty -five; six hundred and seventeen dollars
to J. T. Hand, for publishing the Laws of session
eighteen hundred and sixty-five; seven hundred
and sixteen dollars to pay Haverstick & Long-
neckers, for publishing the Laws of session eighteen
hundred and sixty-five; to Carlton Rhoderick, edi-
tor of the Valley Register, the sum of two hun-
dred and seventeen dollars and fifty cents; E.
Wells, editor of Port Tobacco Times, the sum of
two hundred and twenty-three dollars and fifty
cents; William H. Councell, editor of Easton Ga-
zette, the sum of six hundred and seventy-eight
dollars; C. Fulton and Son, editors of the Balti-
more American, the sum of eight hundred and
forty-seven dollars and eighty-five cents; B. Ev-
erett Smith, editor of Worcester Shield, the sum
of six hundred and ten dollars and fifty cents; Jas.
S. Downs, editor of St. Mary's Gazette, the sum
of six hundred and seventy-eight dollars; Plum-
mer & Usilton, editors of the Kent News, the sum
of five hundred and forty-five dollars and seventy-
five cents; Thomas S. Hodson, editor Somerset
