trary to. law; and in case a vacancy shall happen,
in the Presidency or Directory of said corporation,
the Stockholders after ten days notice by advertise-
ment in two daily papers published in the city
of Baltimore, at a special meeting to be held for
that purpose, shall fill the same by choosing a
President or Director to serve until the next elec-
tion, and for the transaction of any business
hereby confided to the said President and Directors
a majority of them shall be a quorum.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act contained, shall be so construed as to confer any
banking privileges on the said corporation or the
right to issue any note in the nature of a bank note;
and the General Assembly hereby reserves to itself
the right to alter, amend or repeal this act at
pleasure.

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,, That James M. Leiter, George W.
Polo, Peter Middlekauf, David Fulton, H. Gar-
linger, E. F Slick, W. F. Miller J. W. Lytle,
Samuel Cline, their associates, successors, and as-
signs, be and they are hereby incorporated and
created a corporation and body politic by the name
of the Leitersburg Lamp and Tin Ware Manufac-
turing Company, and by that name may have per-
petual succession, may sue and be sued, may make
and use a common seal, and alter the same at
pleasure, and may do and perform all such other
acts in relation to the object, and purposes of the
incorporation hereinafter declared and necessary
