Joint resolution extending the term of service of

 

Hon. Edward Hammond as associate judge of

 

the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Maryland until

 

the expiration of the full period of fifteen years

 

for which he was elected.

 

WHEREAS the Honorable Edward Hammond,

 

of Howard county, now acting as associate judge

 

of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Maryland, was

 

elected to that position on the first Tuesday next

 

following the first Monday of November in the

 

year eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, for the

 

term of fifteen years from the time of his elec-

tion and until his successor should be elected and

 

qualified, or until he should attain the age of

 

seventy years; and, whereas, before the end of
