Saturday next preceding such holiday, and such
|

Mondays so observed shall for all purposes whatever,
|
 
|
as regards the presenting for payment or acceptance,
|
 
|
and of the protesting and giving notice of the dis-
|
 
|
honor of bills of exchange, bank checks, drafts and
|
 
|
promissory notes, be also treated and considered as
|
 
|
is the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday.
|
 
|
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
|
 
|
acts, and especially such sections of the Code of
|
Inconsistent
laws repealed.
|
Public General Laws or of the Revised Code, with
|
 
|
the supplements thereto, title " Bills of Exchange
|
 
|
and Promissory Notes," as are inconsistent with this
|
 
|
act, are hereby repealed.
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect and be in force from and after its passage.
|
 
|

Chapter 24.
|
 
|
AN ACT authorizing Jerome B. Hall, guardian of
|
 
|
John S. Melvin, a minor, to pass his final account
|
 
|
with the Orphans' Court of Worcester county.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
 
|
bly of Maryland. That Jerome B. Hall, guardian
|
 
|
of John S. Melvin, a minor, be and he is hereby
|

authorized to pass his final account as guardian be-
|
count as guar-
dian.
|
fore the Orphans' Court of Worcester county, and
|
 
|
to pay and deliver over to the said John S. Melvin,
|
 
|
all his property, real and personal, and moneys that
|
 
|
may be due to him on the said final account, and
|
 
|
to take his receipt for the same, which shall be ac-
|
 
|
knowledged and recorded in the office of the Regis-
|
 
|
ter of Wills for said county, and have the same ef-
|
 
|
fect as if the same was executed by a person of
|
 
|
full age.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after
|
