missioners of Dorchester county are hereby author-

ized and directed to appoint three judges for said
|

election, which shall be conducted in accordance
|
 
|
with the requirements of the law regulating elec-

or the Fork, of said county, shall be used by said

judges to determine the qualification of voters;

provided further that said voters shall reside within
|

that part of district number one, or the Fork,
|
 
|
included in this act, and the judges of election, or
|
 
|
a majority of them, shall be satisfied that said
|
 
|
voter resides within said territory, either from
|
 
|
their own personal knowledge or from satisfactory
|
 
|
evidence furnished by parties offering to vote;
|
 
|
and the sheriff of Dorchester county shall give at
|
 
|
least ten days' notice of said election, as to the
|

ments in two newspapers published in said county,
|
 
|
and he shall furnish the said judges of election
|

with the necessary poll books and registration
|

lists, the same to be made out by the clerk of the

Circuit Court for Dorchester county from the
|
 
|
registration books for district number one afore-
|
 
|
said now in his office; and at said election the
|
 
|
ballots shall have written on or printed upon them
|

turned to the clerk of said Circuit Court by the

judges of said election that a majority of said

votes were cast " For the stock law," then the said

clerk shall immediately make proclamation of
|

said result by notice in two newspapers published
|
 
|
within said county, for one week; and ten days
|
How effective

after said proclamation this law shall go into effect.
