guardian, if an infant is the owner, of the damages

assessed by the inquisition, and his legal costs, vest
|
 
|
the property condemned in the commissioners; pro-
|
 
|
vided, that if the damages assessed in said inquisi-
|
 
|
tion shall not exceed in amount any sum which the
|
 
|
commissioners may have tendered in writing to the
|
 
|
owner, or in case of an infant to his guardian for
|
 
|
the land condemned before the issuing of said war-
|
 
|
rant to the sheriff, then the payment or tender of
|
 
|
the damages as aforesaid, less the entire costs of the
|
 
|
commissioners, shall likewise vest the property con-
|
 
|
demned in the commissioners; provided further,
|
 
|
that either party feeling himself aggrieved by any
|

appeal within thirty days to the Circuit Court for
|

Dorchester county, upon filing with the clerk of
|
 
|
said court a bond to the State of Maryland in
|
 
|
penalty of five hundred dollars, with security to be
|
 
|
approved by the said clerk, conditioned for the pay-
|
 
|
ment of costs; if an appeal should be taken, the com-
|
 
|
missioners shall immediately send all the papers in
|
 
|
the case to the said clerk, and the said court shall
|
 
|
direct issues to be framed, and hear the case de novo.

|
69. All violations of the charter, by laws or ordi-
|
 
|
nances of the said town of Cambridge, are hereby
|
 
|
declared to be misdemeanors, and upon complaint
|
 
|
under oath of any person to any justice of the peace
|
 
|
for Dorchester county of a violation of said charter,
|

by-laws or ordinances, the said justice shall issue his
|
violation.

warrant in the name of the State of Maryland,

|
directed to any bailiff of said town or to the sheriff
|
 
|
or any constable of said county for the arrest of the
|
 
|
party charged in such warrant, and shall hear and
|
 
|
determine said complaint; and if said justice shall
|
 
|
find the party so charged guilty, his judgment shall
|
 
|
be for the payment of such fine, penalty or forfeiture,
|
 
|
as may be imposed by the charter, by-laws or ordi-
|
 
|
nances charged in said warrant to be violated, and
|
 
|
costs, and the party shall stand committed to the
|
 
|
county jail until said fine and costs are paid to said
|
 
|
justice or until the expiration of thirty days, which-
|
 
|
ever shall first occur, and the justice aforesaid shall,

immediately upon the payment of the fine imposed
and collected by them under this section, pay over
|
 
|
the same to the treasurer of said town, for the benefit
|
 
|
of the said town, and if the party charged shall be
|
