Mr. Walsh presented the memorial of Wm. J. Keech and
46 other citizens of Baltimore and Harford counties, for the
removal of the Eastern Hay Scales from its present location
to a more accessible place,

Which was read and referred to the Senators from Balti-
more city and Baltimore and Harford counties.

On motion by Mr. Mudd,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Mndd, Suit, Lawrence, Duke
and Bannon to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal an
Act passed January Session, 1872, entitled an Act to add a new
Article to the Code of Public General Laws, regulating the
Inspection of Tobacco.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city Senators to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to provide for the opening and ex-
tension of Camden street in the City of Baltimore.

On motion by Mr. Aydelotte,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Aydelotte, Dennis and
Humphreys to introduce a bill to declare the sanction and con-
sent of the General Assembly of Maryland to certain be-
quests of John Gunby, deceased, to the Presbyterian Church
in Newtown, Maryland, and to a certain Methodist Church
and Presbyterian Church each, in Coshocton county, State «f
Ohio.

On motion by Mr. Getty.

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to give certain deeds
the effect of mortgage deeds, and preserve the vendor's lien

therein, in Garrett county.

Also by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Getty, Lawrence and Ford,
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to change the dividing
line between the Third and Fifth Election Districts of Garrett

county.

On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill granting pensions to Frederick Hawman, Richard
Wootton, Jacob Aubert and John Fauble, of Frederick coun-
ty, soldiers of the War of 1812.
