On motion by Mr. Bannon,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Consumers' Mutual Gas-
Light Co. of Baltimore city,
On motion by Mr. Dennis,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
report a bill to incorporate the Maryland State Grange of
the order of Patrons of Husbandry.
On motion by Mr. Getty,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 52,
of the Acts of 1868, entitled an Act to repeal Section 45, of
Article 29, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Circuit Courts for the counties," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.
On motion by Mr. Hepbron,
Leave was granted to Messrs Hepbron, Knight and Ford, to
introduce a bill to prevent splashing in the waters of Farley,
Whorton, Churn and Still Pond creeks, and the Sassafras
river and its tributaries.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal the
7th Section of the 57th Article of Public General Laws of
this State, title "Limitations of Actions," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to add certain addi-
tional sections to Article seventy-five of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice and Process," sub-
title "Process," providing for service of a writ of summons,
or of subpoena upon the defendant or defendants, being or
residing without the limits of the State of Maryland, in cer-
tain cases.

The vote by which the message, proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Special Committee to visit the House of Re-
fuge, Maryland Penitentiary and Hospital for the Insane, at
Spring Grove, was adopted,
