At 2.05 P. M.,

Mr. Gorman moved a call of the Senate.
The Sergeant-at-Arms was directed to inform the absent
Senators their presence was required in the Senate Chamber.

At 2.10 P. M.,

On motion by Mr, Gorman,

Farther proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays as follows:

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and returned
the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to refund taxes on Oyster House
Licenses to Hugh B. Valiant and F. F. Avalier, of Talbot

county, erroneously paid into the Treasury.

Endorsed, ''Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Line 3, after the word " Avalier," insert "Jesse H. J. Hub-
bard, Samuel Norris, Tilghman H. Hubbard, Wm. Grace,
Michael Hartnett, Mrs. Margaret Zeigler, T. T. Martin."

Line 5, after word "License," insert "and to Jacob Wil-
liams the sum of $23.96, for taxes on Oyster House License;
and to Charles W. Bennett, of said county, the sum of $67.50,
for taxes on ordinary license; and to William T. Elliott, Ed-
mond J. W. Norris, Henry Nichols, Owen A. Boone, Joseph
Basin, John B. Todd & Son, James E. Cahal, James T.
Robinson, J. V. B. Wright, J. R. Colescott, Levi Howarth,
Mary Fountain, E. G. Goodwin, S. P. Jump, T. S. Hopkins,
Dennis L. Council, of said county, each the sum of $13.50,
for retail Liquor Traders Licenses; and to William B. Ewing,
C. M. Lloyd, Daniel C. Bartlett and Philemon Mnllekin,

of said county, each the sum of $18.75 for Ordinary Licenses.
