Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Gorman -submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 22nd, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message informing us that you
have non cooncurred in certain amendments of the Senate, to
House bill No. 224, making further appropriations for the
support of the government and schools, and reformatory in-
stitutions for 1876, and requesting the Senate to recede from
the same. After consideration, the Senate has determined
to adhere to its amendments, and request your Honorable
Body to appoint a Committee of Conference to take into con-
sideration the disagreeing votes of the two Houses.

We have appointed as managers on the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Knight, Lloyd and Gorman.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and bent to the House of
Delegates.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
Article 22 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Comp-
troller," relating to claims against insolvent Collectors and
other officers,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :
