Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments Section 1 of chapter 439 of the Acts of 1874,
entitled an Act to regulate the issuing of licenses for the sale
of spirituous and fermented liquors in this State, so as to ex-
empt Harford county from the provisions of said Act.
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
On motion by Mr. Duke (rules suspended,) it was
Ordered, That the Finance Committee be requested to re-
port the Local Option Bill for Calvert county, on or by Thurs-
day, 12 M.
Senate bill entitled an Act to pay and compensate D. James
Blackiston for services in the United States Court, in defense
of officers of Registration, presented therein for violation as
alleged of the Act of Congress entitled "an Act to enforce
the right of citizens of the United States to vote in the several
States of the Union and for other purposes,"
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
