ered the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to protect English Mocking
Birds in Charles, Calvert, St. Mary's and Kent counties.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Mudd, Suit and Lawrence.

House bill eqtitled an Act to allow the County Commis-
sioners of Charles county, to pay Richard Barnes, Sr., the
usual per diem and compensation during the time he was
prevented in 1874 and 1875, by sickness from attending as
Chief Judge of the Orphans' Court.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Mudd, Suit and Steiner.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal ch. 390 of the Acts o
1867, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel
county, relating to the sale of spirituous and fermented li-
quors to minors in the City of Annapolis, and within 5 miles
thereof, and to re-enact with amendments, Section 55.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed at the
January Session, 1872, ch 254, entitled an Act to authorize
and empower the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county, to appropriate a sum of money to the capital stock of
the Annapolis and North Severn Bridge Company, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
