On motion by Mr. Mudd,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to repeal Section 14 of Art, 41, of the Code of Public General
Laws, as amended by ch. 205 of the Acts of 1870, and to re-
peal Sub-Section 3 and Sub-Section 4 of Art. 41, relating to
Fish and Fisheries, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion by Mr. Knight,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce abill to pay L. F. Colton & Co. for paper, printing,bind-
ing ami distributing Report of Board of State School Commis-
sioners for the year 1874, per order of the Governor, in pursu-
ance of the Act of 1872, ch. 377, sub-ch. 12, Section 11.

On motion by Mr. Humphreys,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Humphreys, Dennis and
Aydelotte, to introduce a bill to amend Section 1, ch. 241,
Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to protect Oysters within the
waters of Wicomico county.

On motion by Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Library, to
introduce a bill to authorize the purchase for the State Li-
brary of Scharf's History of Maryland.
On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to perfect certain
maps of the military lands lying in Allegany and Garrett
counties, for the use of the Land Office.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal ch. 59 of
the Acts of 1874, in relation to Fines and Forfeitures.

Mr. Knight, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay
and its Tributaries, reported favorably,

House Joint Resolutions in relation to the Navigation of
the Susquehanna River.

Which were read the second time.

On motion by Mr. Dennis,
The rules were suspended, so as to take up
House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 50, 51 and
52 of Art. 19, of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to
Fences, in Somerset county, and to add other Sections in lien,
thereof, and to add new Sections thereto.
