Said bill as amended was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act regulating the working and
proper ventilation of coal miles in Allegany and Garrett
counties, and providing for the appointment of an inspector
for said mines,

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Lee,

Was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sec. 58, of Art. 29, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Courts," sub-title
Circuit Court of Baltimore," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Being upon its third reading,

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Was ordered to be printed.

Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to the executor or
administrator of Saml. H. Birckhead, deceased, late collector
of the 1st district of Harford county, a sum of money erro-
neously paid into the Treasury,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Aydelotte, Humphreys,
Bannon, Joyce,
Duke, Lawrence,
Dennis, Stevens,
Freeman, Steiner,
Ford, Suit,
Getty, Walsh—15.
Gorman,

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
At 1.40 P. M., Mr. Lawrence moved a call of the Senate.
The Sergeaat-at-Arms was directed to inform the absent
Senators that their presence was required in the Senate
Chamber.

At 1.45 P. M.,

On motion by Mr. Stevens,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
