Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Finance, (by unani-
mous consent,) reported favorably the following bill:

Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing his Excel-
lency the Governor to apply to the Ptesident of the United
States for the appointment of a Board of three Com-
missioners to be detailed for the survey of the harbor of Bal-
timore city, and the adjacent waters, and the establishment
of the pier and bulkhead lines thereof, and appropriating
five thousand dollars to pay the expenses of said Board.

Being upon its second reading,

On motion by Mr. Lee,
Was ordered to lie over.
Also, by Mr. Walsh, without advice,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to purchase a stand of colors for the association of Mexican
volunteers of Maryland.

Which was read the first time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners of Talbot county to appoint an addi-
tional constable for the 1st Election District of said
county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.
Messrs. Aydelotte, Lee,

Brewer, Lawrence,
Cooper, Lloyd,
Duke, McCulloh,
Dennis, Mudd,
Freeman, Newcomer,
Getty, Steiner,
Knight, Walsh—16.
NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates,
Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Horse Stealing,"

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
