Leave was granted to Messrs. Lloyd, Walsh and McCulloh,
to introduce a bill to repeal chapter 199, Local Laws, Jan-
uary Session, 1874, and re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion by Mr. McCulloh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Cumberland and
Pennsylvania Railroad Company.
On motion by Mr. Gorman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to repeal Ssction 87, of Article 81, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
Also,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Gorman, Cooper and Duke
to introduce a bill to authorize the Commissioners of How-
ard county to adjust a claim of Thomas I. White.
On motion by Mr. Phelps,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to introduce
a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claims of divers editors of newspapers in the State of Ma-
ryland, for publishing the Act entitled an Act to amend Sec-
tion 8, of Article 4, of the Constitution of the State of Mary-
land, passed at the January Session, 1874, chapter 364.
On motion by Mr. Steveas,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 75
and 93, of the Acts of 1868, chapter 471, relating to the for-
mation of corporations.
Mr. Phelps asked leave to withdraw from the files of the
Senate the petition of 91 citizens of Dorchester county against
any change in the law upon the subject of shooting wild
fowl in the waters of Choptank river.
Which was granted.
Mr. McCulloh, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act, supplementary to an Act,
passed at January Session, 1852, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Santa Clara Mining Association of Baltimore, au-
thorizing said Association to make and enforce payment of
all calls or assessments upon its capital stock heretofore made
or hereafter to be made.
