On motion by Mr. Dennis,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments, except the appointment of Thomas W. Stone,
which was referred to the Committee on Executive Nomina-
tions.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Executive Nomina-
tions, to which had been referred the nomination of Thomas
W. Stone as Assessor for the first districtot So nerset county,
reported that the Committee were of opinion that said nomi-
nation ought to be confirmed.

Mr. Dennis moved that the Senate do not advise and con-
sent to said nomination.

On the question being put, it was determined in the nega-
