1876.] OF THE SENATE. 1007

On motion by Mr. Humphreys, it was
Ordered, That the Senator from Frederick county be ex-
cused from further attendance upon this Extra Session of the
Senate, on account of extreme indisposition in his family.

On motion by Mr. Aydelotte, it was

Ordered, That a Committee of three Senators be appointed
by the President, to wait upon the Governor, and inform him
that the Senate had disposed of all the business before it, and
is now ready to adjourn, sine die, unless the Governor has
some further communication to make.

The President appointed as said Committee Messrs. Ayde-
lotte, Cooper and Freeman.

The Hon. R. C. Hollyday appeared, and delivered a com-
munication from the Executive:

The Committee appointed to wait upon his Excellency, the
Governor, appeared, and reported that the Committee had
performed the duty assigned them, and that they had been
requested by his Excellency to inform the Senate that he had
no further communication to make.

At 3.10 P. M.,

On motion by Mr. Joyce,
The Senate went into Executive Session.
At 3.12 P. M.,
The doors were again opened.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

The thanks of the Senate were returned to the Hon. Daniel
Fields, for the able, courteous and dignified manner in which
he has presided over the deliberations of this Body.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

The thanks of the Senate were returned to the officers in
attendance upon this Extra Session, for the efficient and faith-
ful manner in which they had performed their duties.

At 3.15 P. M.,

The President declared the Senate adjourned, sine die.
