984 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 18,
of the reading thereof as had been had, but still claiming
the floor,
Yielded it to Mr. Constable.
Mr. Vandiver moved that the House do now adjourn until
Monday next.
The Speaker (Mr. Robinson in the Chair) decided that as
Mr Baldwin had expressed himself as being satisfied with so
much of the reading of the bill for information, that he had
no right to yield the floor to Mr. Constable,
And that the motion submitted by Mr. Vandiver, that the
House do now adjourn until Monday next,
Was in order.
Mr. Goldsborough appealed from the decision of the Chair,
The question then being,
"Shall the opinion of the Chair stand as the judgment of
the House?"
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,
Mr. lloblilzell demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand being sustained,
The yeas and nays were called and appeared as follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.
