NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Culbreth, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably with amendments,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified
voters of Caroline county, to determine by ballot, whether
spirituous on fermented liquors shall be sold in said county,
or in any election districts thereof, or a license granted for
the sale of the same.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend title, "entitled an Act to repeal Section 413, of the
Acts of 1874 so far as it relates to Caroline county, and to
enact the following in lieu thereof."
Strike out Section 1, and insert, "Be it enacted by the
General Assembly of Marland, that Section 453, of the Acts
of 1874, be and the same is hereby repealed, so far as it re-
lates to Caroline county, and the following enacted in lieu
thereof."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 1, of the bill, by numbering it "Section 2,"
and strike out "be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland," and insert "3 and be it enacted," number Sec-
tion 2, of bill number 3, number Section 3, of the bill number
Section 4, of the bill No. 5.

The bill as amended was then read the second time.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1, 3 and 5, of
chapter 219, of the Acts passed at session of 1853, and re-
enact the same with amendment.
