and transfer of bills of lading, storage receipts and like
commercial instruments, by defining the rights of the hold-
ers thereof, and by presenting and punishing improper

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace
in Cavetown district, in Washington county.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 7, of an
Act, entitled an Act to add certain additional Sections relating
to the Superior Court of Baltimore city, and the Court of Com-
mon Pleas in Baltimore city, to the 4th Article of the Pub-
lic Local Laws, regulating the return of process, and the
taking of judgments in said county, passed at the General
Assembly of 1864, chapter 6, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Blackiston, for services in the United States Court, in defence
of officers of registration, and presented therein for violation
