Mr. Goldsborough proposed the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 3, line 3, after the word "State," insert "to houses
or buildings used exclusively for public worship, and the-
grounds upon which they actually cover, which shall he
Tained at less than ten thousand dollars."
Which was rejected.
Mr, Hoblitzell proposed the following amendment:
AMENDMEDT PROPOSED.
Sec. 3, line II, after the word "hand," add "surgical in-
struments of the Surgeon, and library of the Physician, Law-
yer and Minister, not exceeding one hundred dollars."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Wbitelock proposed the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 3, line 10, add after "manufacture," "and
farming implements in actual use."
