Mr. Canby, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to add additional Sections to Ar-
ticle 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws title "Montgomery
County," to provide for the allowance of certain deductions
to persons paying their county taxes within times specified.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Brown, Chairman Committee on Inspections, reported
favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 6 of chapter 244
of the Acts of the General Assembly, passed at the January
Session, 1872, entitled an Act to authorize the appointment
of Weighers of Grain by the Governor, and to amend and
re-enact said Section as amended.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Hinks, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to lay out and establish a new
Election District in Frederick county, out of portions of
Frederick district, No. 2, and Creagerstown district, No. 4,
to be called "Lewistown District" or "Election District No.
19."
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Lankford, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
The bill entitled an Act to appoint an additional Justice
of the Peace for the State of Maryland, in and for Somerset
county, in the Eighth Election District thereof.

The House proceeded to consider the order, of the day.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal Sub-Sections 3 and 21 of
Section 3 of chapter 483 of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act
to repeal Article 81 of the Code of Public General Laws of
the State of Maryland, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and to
re-enact the same with amendments; and re-enact the same
so as to read as follows.
The question being on the adoption of the amendment pro-
posed by Mr.Whitelock,
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Attend Section 3, by striking out all alter "State," line
3, down to and including "cover," in line 5.
