So the motion prevailed, and the motion to reconsider was
laid on the table.
Mr. Naill submitted the following
RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, It has been, alleged that great abuse was prac-
ticed at the last session of the Legislature by the appoint-
ment of employees largely in excess of the number required
for the two Houses;
And whereas, Section 24, of Article 3, of the Constitution
provides that the General Assembly shall create at every ses-
sion thereof a Standing Committee of the Senate and House
of Delegates, whose duty it shall be to examine and report
upon all matters of alleged abuse in expenditures to which
their attention may be called by resolution of either House
of the General Assembly; ,
Therefore be it Unsolved by the. Souse of Delegates of Mary-
land,
