On motion of Mr. McAleese, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Neal be excused from attendance on
this House till Tuesday next.
The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Constitution
of the Henry Watson Childrens' Aid Society of Baltimore aa
the same was enacted by the Act of 1872, chapter 14,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows:

Said bill was then returned to the Senate.
Mr. Stewart, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Section 2 of ch. 417 of the Act-passed at Jan-
uary Session, 1858, which was an Act authorizing the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, to establish an inspection and
measurement of gas and gas metres in the City of Baltimore,
Which was read a second time.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, to issue city stock for the purpose of
reducing the five million loan, known as the "Water Stock,"
redeemable at pleasure, on and after the first day of May,
1875, and to provide tor the payment of all taxes, State,
Federal or otherwise, to which said stock or the interest
therein, may be liable, and to reduce the rate of interest on
the indebtedness dif the said city, '
Being under consideration,
Mr. Fenton moved to postpone it until Monday,
