This motion was laid on the table.
Richard C. Hollyday, Esq., Secretary of State, presented
the following message from his Excellency, the Governor:
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,
Annapolis, March 10th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates of Maryland:
I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed the following bills originating in the House of
Delegates.
No. 30. An Act to incorporate the Consumers Mutual Gas-
light Company, of Baltimore city.
No. 32. An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of
Wicomico county to levy a sum of money for the support of
William Benjamin Gordy, while in an Insane Asylum.
No. 33. An Act to incorporate the Talbot county Canal and
Navigation Company.
No. 35. An Act to repeal an Act passed at the Session of
1870, chapter 148, entitled an Act to add additional Sections
to the Act of 1865, chapter 36, entitled an Act to incorporate
the German Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore, and also
to repeal Sections 2, 3 and 6, of the said Act of 1865, chapter
56, entitled an Act to incorporate the German Fire Insurance
Company of Baltimore, and to re-enact the said three Sections
with amendments.
No. 36. An Act to extend the charter of the New York and
Baltimore Transportation Line, which incorporation is by
virtue of the Act of December Session, 1847, chapter 112,
passed January 18th, 1848, and of the supplementary Act
passed February 7th, 1866, chapter 106, at a Session begun
on the 10th day of January, 1866.
No. 37. An Act to refund to Dennis Cookson, of Carroll
county, a certain sum of money erroneously paid into the
Treasury.
No. 38. An Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council
of Cumberland to issue bonds to complete and furnish the City
Hall and Market in the City of Cumberland.
No. 39. An Act to prevent stock from running at large
within the limits of Garrett county.
