Being Upon its second reading,
Mr. Wiiitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 1, line 4, after the word "Commissioners,"
insert "Section 12 and Section 2, of the Laws of Maryland,
1872, chapter 371, as far as its relates to Baltimore county."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Line 3, Section 2, after the word "and" insert "each
shall."
Which was adopted,
Also,
Line 2, Section 2, after the word "County," strikeout
word "who" and insert "each of whom."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Given sumbitted the lollowing amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend Section 2, 3rd line, after the word "and," the
words "shall each."
4th line make "Judge" read "Judge or Judges," and after
1he word ''Court," insert "or the Clerk thereof,"
5th line, after the word "their" insert "respective."
Section 3, amend the 1st line by inserting the word "each"
after the word "shall."
Which were severally read and adopted.
Mr. Whitelock submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend Section 8, line 5, after the word "Board," strike
out down to the word "provided" in line 7.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Curtis submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 5, amend the 3rd line by inserting "eight hun-
dred dollars" in the place of "four hundred," and in the 6th
line by inserting "twelve hundred" in the place of "one
thousand."
The question recurring upon the amendment,
Mr. Whitelock demanded the yeas and nays,
The demand being sustained.
