Local Laws of Maryland, contained between Section 314 and
334, both inclusive, title "Washington county," sub-title
"Williamsport," and to confirm and make valid the election
held in said town of Williamsport on the 1st Monday in
March, 1875, for Burgess, Assistant Buigess, and five Com-
missioners for said town, and to confirm and make valid the
action of the said officers so elected in appointing a Bailiff for
said town.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, Chairman of a Select Committee,
reported,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the proper
representation of the State of Maryland at the Celebration of
the One-Hundredth Anniversary of American Independence
with proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 1, line 2, strike out the word "fifteen," and insert the
words "twenty-five."
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a second time.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, moved that said bill be read a
third time this day under the provisions of the Constitution,
Section 27, of Article 3.
