Section 1, line 2, strike out the words "five thousand,"
between the words "twenty" and "dollars," and insert "six
hundred."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Chaisty submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 4, after the word "State," add the words,
"and whatsoever else may exhibit the advancement of our
State in the culture of the Arts and Sciences."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Lambdin submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 1, strikeout the words "twenty-five," be-
fore the word "thousand," and insert the word "fifteen."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Usilton submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, line 1, strike out the words "twenty-five," be-
fore the word "thousand," and insert the word "ten."
The amendment was rejected.
