day and Tuesday last, in consequence of business engage-
ment.
On motion of Mr. Purnell,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Purnell, Onley and Dashiell,
to introduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of
Worcester county to erect a bridge across Ayers' Creek, in
said county.
Also,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Purnell, Onley and Dashiell,
to introduce a bill to repeal the Act of 1874, chapter 163,
entitled an Act to add new Sections to Article 22, of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to Worcester county,
to be entitled "Sales of Spirituous or Fermented Liquors,"
and to enact certain new sections, which shall be added to
said Article in lieu thereof.
Also,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Purnell, Onley and Dashiell,
to introduce a bill to repeal Section 3, of Chapter 131, of the
Laws passed at January Session, 1872, and to enact other
Sections in lieu thereof, for the protection of Fish in the
Synepuxent Bay, in Worcester county.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House proceeded to the consideration of
The bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
Article 37, of the Code of Public General Laws, title, "Evi-
dence," to be known as Section 6—B.
The question recurring upon the amendment submitted by
Mr. Hoblitzell, on yesterday,
Lines 8 and 9, strike out the words "verified by oath or
affidavit."
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,
Mr. McGlone demanded the yeas and nays.
