Mr. Stewart submitted the following Message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
February 1st, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate :
We have received your message requesting the return of
House bill No. 6, relating to auctioneers' fees, and agree
thereto, and herewith return the same.

Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate, and
the bill therein named was returned therewith.
Mr. Donaldson submitted the following Message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
February 1st, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
The House of Delegates has received and read the message
of your Honorable Body, asking that the Standing Commit-
tees of the two Houses on Education may hereafter meet in
Joint Session, and respectfully concur in the same.

Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.
The Hon. Richard C. Hollyday, Secretary of State deliv-
ered the following message from His Excellency, John Lee
Carroll, the Governor.
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,
Annapolis, Feb. 1st, 1876.
To the House of Delegates :
I have the honor to inform your Honorable Body that I
have approved and signed House bill No. 3, being an Act
granting the sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland,
to the bequest of Margaret E. Morton, late of Calvert
county, deceased, to the Vestry of Saint Paul's Parish Church,
in Calvert county.
And House bill No. 4, being an Act for the incorporation
of the Grand Lodge of the United States of the Independent
Order of Odd Fellows,
JOHN LEE CARROLL.
Which was read.
Mr. Hoblitzell, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
