The bill entitled an Act to empower the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to purchase, lease and condemn lands
for public parks or squares within the limits of Baltimore
city,

Saii bill was then sent to the Senate.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills:
A bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate the Orphans' House and Episcopal
Free School Society of All Saints' Church, in Frederick-
town, passed at December Session, 1837, chapter 147, and
to its supplement, passed at January Session, 1854, chapter
104.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
Also,
A Bill entitled an Act to amend Article 29, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Courts," sub-title "Court of
Appeals," by adding to said title and sub-title an additional
Section.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
