and have concurred therein, and appointed oc the part of the
Home, Messrs. Gill, Brown and Koons.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message requesting the Senate to
recede from its amendments to House bill to appropriate a
sum of money to pay the claim of Eli Whitney. Upon con-
sideration the Senate declines to recede from its amendments,
and respectfully request the appointment of a Committee of
Conference upon the disagreement between the two Houses,
We have named on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Stev-
ens, Gorman and Knight.
